The Maidstone District Cricket Academy organises cricket courses for boys and girls, we cover all age groups from 5 years old through to school leavers. The Academy is in partnership with the local authority Maidstone Borough Council and the Kent Cricket Board. Schools and clubs within the local authority’s area are informed of all the courses that the Academy run. Qualified and experienced ECB cricket coaches staff all the courses. The programme for the youngsters is designed to give them a better understanding of cricket and the terms used regarding batting, bowling and fielding, but the emphasis is very much on enjoyment and full participation in all the activities.

The aim of the Academy is to network with all the relevant stakeholders, other District Development Officers around the county and the Kent Cricket Board Development Office.
