Maidstone District Cricket Academy

District Squads

This is a gateway for young cricketers to improve in their cricket skills and move on to higher levels of the game. Youngsters from the Maidstone District Cricket Academy coaching sessions, schools and clubs are invited to trial for the under 10, 12 and 14 squads. Each age group has a team manager who looks after a squad of 15-17 youngsters.

Each district will play another district in a hardball competition (not pairs cricket). The under 10s play 6 games and the under 12s and 14s play 3 games and possibly semi-final and final.

Real Potential  MDCA is responsible for organising Maidstone District representative squads at under 10, 12 and 14 level. Squads are chosen by independent coaches based on performance at the district trials and in the previous year. District representation leads on for opportunities to have County Trials for Kent.
